About us...

Our school teaches Aikikai style aikido with a particular emphasis on kihon waza (fundamentals). We remain committed to the teaching and direction of the Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Tokyo, Japan and the current Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba, the grandson of the founder.

Our current instructors are listed below:

Brian Roberts, 3rd Dan, Aikikai
Brian started his Aikido training in 2005 at Aikido Shinju-Kai in Singapore. He continued his studies at Aikido of Honolulu where he received his Shodan (1st degree black belt) and Nidan (second degree black belt). He has also practiced in Vietnam and at Shinki Rengo Aikido in Michigan, where he received his Sandan (3rd degree black belt). Most recently he practiced with the Virginia Tech Aikido club in Blacksburg.

Brian loves to travel with his wife and daughter and has visited and practiced at Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Tokyo multiple times.
